I have the honour to submit for the

signification of His Majesty's pleasure Ordinance No.16

of 1926 intituled "An Ordinance to apply a sun not exceeding Eighteen million seven hundred and sixty-seven thousand seven hundred and seventy-seven Dollars to the Public Servic of the year 1926", together with the Attorney General's report upon it.

I enclose eight copies of the Estimates of Revenue and Expenditure, an Abstract showing the differences between the Estimates of Expenditure for 1925 and 1926, and the usual Financial Statements.

The present and immediate future are so uncertain that an Estimate of Revenue can be little more

than guess work, but I do not think that I am being over optimistic in believing that trade will revive and the

The Budget was introduced into the Legislative Council on the 8th of October and on the first reading of the Bill I delivered the address of which I enclose a copy. The second and third readings were taken on the 22nd of October and a report is enclosed of the proceedings of the Council on that date.
